Shared Vision
The vision of Lafayette Elementary
School is to provide a safe inviting learning environment that enables students
to reach their full potential. We pledge to provide opportunities for
students to grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
Students will be encouraged to be self-motivated and assume responsibility for
their own learning.
We believe:
 | our focus should be on student learning and
academic achievement. |
 | each student is a valued and unique
individual that can learn. |
 | clear, high, and obtainable goals should be
set |
 | ongoing assessment is an integral part of
each child's education. |
 | different learning styles of students should
be met through a variety of teaching methods and
enrichment activities. |
 | we should promote self-worth, confidence,
and potential ability of all students. |
 | decision-making is a shared process that
includes administration, community members, and faculty. |
 | parental involvement is a key factor to a
student's motivation and success. |
 | faculty, staff, parents, students, and
community share the responsibility of establishing a safe, secure, learning
environment. |
